Saying “Me and __” or “__ and Myself” now seem quite common – but neither should be. Both are grammatically incorrect, sound wrong, and make little-to-no-sense in English.
Whenever talking about oneself AND someone else, the correct pronoun to use is the one you would use when only talking about yourself – WITHOUT anyone else included. Any unresolved “identity issues” still do not change the grammatically correct times to refer to oneself as (either) me, myself, or I.
If I do something and someone else does it “with me” then that individual “and I” might do it together. That is how I want people to talk (and/or write/type) – to others “and me”.
When I am talking not only about myself but also someone else, then whatever we might do involves both of us – not just me (myself).
Going from Me to We or from I to We is often desirable, beneficial, and encouraged – especially going from Illness to Wellness.
